The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the CSIR UGC NET June 2025 examination to June 26, 2025, in response to student requests. The exam, conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, is scheduled for July 26–28, 2025, and determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship, and PhD admissions in five science disciplines: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Application Process
Candidates can apply online through the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in. Follow these steps:
- Visit csirnet.nta.ac.in.
- Click on the “CSIR UGC NET June 2025 Registration” link.
- Register as a new user with personal, academic, and contact details.
- Upload required documents (photograph, signature, and category certificates, if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian citizens.
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for JRF (as of July 2025), with a 5-year relaxation for reserved categories. No age limit for Lectureship or PhD programs.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% (General) or 50% (SC/ST/PwD) in relevant science streams.
Exam Details
The CSIR UGC NET is conducted twice a year (June and December) by the NTA on behalf of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The exam consists of three parts with objective-type multiple-choice questions, totaling 200 marks. Candidates must score at least 33% (General, EWS, OBC) or 25% (SC, ST, PwD) to qualify for JRF or Lectureship.
