Here’s the lowdown on what’s happening, when to apply, and how to make it all work.

When’s the Party Happening?

The admission train started chugging in December 2024, and you’ve got until March 15, 2025, to hop on for most programs (except certificate and semester-based ones). If you’re already an IGNOU student, re-registration kicked off on December 2, 2024, and you’ve got until January 31, 2025, to lock in your next semester. Don’t sleep on these deadlines—set a reminder, like, yesterday!

What’s on the Menu?

Who Can Join the Fun?

Here’s the deal on eligibility:

  • UG Programs: You need 10+2 or equivalent with 45–50% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD folks).
  • PG Programs: A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a UGC-approved university.
  • PhD: Postgraduate degree with 55% marks.
  • No Age Cap: Whether you’re 18 or 80, IGNOU’s doors are wide open.

  3. Upload your docs—mark sheets, degree certs, ID proof, caste certificate if applicable.
  4. Pay the fee (INR 300 for most programs; INR 1,000 for BEd, BSc Nursing, or BPP).

  • Assignments: These are non-negotiable, carrying 30% of your final grade. Deadline for June 2025 TEE is May 31, 2025.
